Texas clubs M's 6-2

Seattle - The Rangers banged thirteen hits off Mariner pitching, and held the Mariners to two runs as they tied this series up at 1-1. The Mariners had dominated Texas so far this season winning four out of the five matchups, but they were no match for the Rangers offense in this one as they got to Taijuan Walker in a hurry putting the M's in a 2-0 hole before they even came up to bat. two costly errors by Dustin Ackley didn't help the cause, and Lloyd McLendon benched him immediately following the second blunder trying to send a message to his team to get their heads in the game. It was no use as the Texas hitters continually hit the ball hard and many times into gaps throughout the night. One bright spot was the two hit ballgame by Robinson Cano. The Mariners are hoping to get their big money signing going as he has struggled to hit the ball well so far in his new uniform. The two teams will play the rubber match today as Texas will send Robbie Ross (1-2, 2.96 ERA) to the mound to take on Chris Young (1-1, 3.63 ERA).
