2013 Seattle Seahawks Week 8 Preview and Power Rankings
Posted on September 13, 2013 at 04:11 AM.

The Seahawks take to the road again for their second straight prime-time match up in the division as they take on the St. Louis Rams on ESPN Monday Night Football. The Rams have struggled this year, but have given the Hawks fits in recent years, and with the bullseye firmly placed on their backs, the Seahawks will need to be on their toes in this one.

Game Notes
Seattle leads the all-time series 18-12. The two teams split their meetings last year, both home teams won close games. A 19-13 win for the Rams in St. Louis, and a 20-13 win for the Seahawks in Seattle. The Seahawks have the had the greatest success out of any NFL team on Monday Night Football with a .693 winning percentage for the games they've played on Mondays.

Players to Watch:

Offense:

Tavon Austin - WR:The Hawks will have their hands full with the electric rookie. He will be all over the field in much the way Seattle uses Percy Harvin.

Defense:

James Laurinaitis - MLB: The Rams captain is the anchor of their defense, and a tackling Machine. He will no doubt be keyed on stopping Marshawn Lynch from duplicating the career high performance he had last week.

Prediction: This will not be the cake walk the Seahawks had last week against Arizona. St. Louis is relatively healthy, and they have always given the Hawks problems in St. Louis. That said the Monday Night crowd for the Rams will still not be enough in this one. It's to the point now where you can't pick against the Seahawks until you see it happen.Seahawks 24, Rams 20
