It may be the most anticipated season in Seahawks history, and the wait is finally over. The Seahawks travel to Charlotte this week to take on the upstart Carolina Panthers, who no doubt would love to kick off their 2013 campaign with a win over one of the favorites in the conference.

Players to Watch
Offense:

Cam Newton - QB: The Panthers electric QB needs little introduction. He is a former Heisman Trophy winner, and can hurt you just as bad with his arm as he can with his legs.
Defense:

Luke Kuechly - ILB: Kuechly bursted onto the scene last year leading all rookies in tackles. Seahawks rookie Bobby Wagner finished 2nd. He will be all over the Field on Sunday.
Prediction: Season openers are always tough to call, you never really know how a teams 1st stringers will look in a real game until they take the field in this one. On paper though the Hawks just have more talent than the young Panthers, and should take this one on the road. Seahawks 31, Panthers 21
