Fort Collins, CO -- San Diego State walked away from Colorado State with a victory after a hard fought 43-35 victory.

Leading 37-20 entering the 4th quarter victory looked within reach for the Aztecs, however CSU put up a fight and scored 15 points in the final quarter and came within reach of securing a tie before a costly interception pass in the redzone in the final minute.

There were two key stories in the game, first the SDSU ranning game with Hillman rushing for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns and backup Kazee running for another 91 yards and a score. The second story of the game was the SDSU defense, lead by Tenhaeff with 2 interceptions and Wade with 3 interceptions. Wade was named player of the game for his effort.

For the Rams, QB Klay Kubiak was 20-46 passing for 367 yards, 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Carlos Washington ran 10 times for 64 yards and 1 TD before going down with an injury. Nwoke ran for 23 yards as his replacement. Marquise Law was player of the game for the Rams after catching 5 passes for 127 yards and 1 TD. Blake and Steele also recorded TD catches.

"I'm disappointed in the guys today. I thought we had the better team on paper, but we just couldn't get them to the ground, as time after time they broke our tackles and ran for long TD's." Coach Drew Gill commented about CSU's performance. SDSU had touchdown runs of 38, 40 and 80 yards along with a 81 yard TD pass and a 73 yard interception return.
