SALT LAKE CITY -- In a game that was much closer than the final score the Colorado State Rams won 27-10 over the Utah Utes.

The score was 10-10 at halftime and Colorado State added a field goal in the 3rd to go up 13-10. Then ate up the clock in the final quarter until a 23 yard run by Raymond Carter put them up 20-10. On the following series Utes QB Jordan Wynn threw an interception to DE Sargent which set up a TD run 3 plays later for senior John Mosure.

The game was a defensive showcase for both teams as Utah limited CSU QB Pete Thomas to 10 of 21 passing for 173 yards and two interceptions. Wynn was 19 for 28 with 216 yards passing for one TD and three interceptions.

LB Mychal Sisson was named player of the game for the Rams as he collected 9 tackles with six for a loss and one sack. While also forcing a fumble on the sack. "I was really pumped for this game. I knew they were on the cusp on the top 25 polls and we also needed one win to be bowl eligible this season." Sisson said after the game.

Before the game CSU coach Gill said,"With 5 wins on the season we are in great shape to make a bowl game. Once we beat UTah we'll be alone in second place in the MWC. Which will set us up well for a good bowl matchup."

The rams have avoided injuries so far this season which is needed as they don't have any off weeks. A few minor scrapes and bruises are the biggest injuries so far. The CSU trainer had this to say about the preparation,"There's a few guys who are seeking attention for some twisted ankles or sore backs but overall the health of this team is remarkable."
