LAS VEGAS -- Colorado State completed a thrilling comeback win over UNLV 35-31. Trailing 31-14 entering the 4th quarter The Rams benched starting RB Raymond Carter and used John Mosure's legs to score 21 unanswered points.

Quarterback Pete Thomas started rough but calmed his nerves when the game mattered the most. He threw three interceptions while also fumbling the ball three times in the first half, but came out in the second half to throw two touchdowns including the go ahead 68 yard TD to Steele with 3 minutes remaining in the game.

Thomas was 13 for 23 for 327 yards. while UNLV QB Omar Clayton threw for 465 yards on 32 of 49 passing. He collected 3 touchdowns with no interceptions.

CSU WR Byron Steele was named player of the game after catching 5 passes for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns. WR Matt Yemm also collected 100 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Rams defense was in Clayton's face the entire game collected 6 sacks while also causing 23 QB hurries. DE Davis Burl collected 11 tackles with two sacks. Burl commented,"The defense played a fairly well game, we were applying pressure all game which left the secondary in a lot of one on one situations which they capitalized on, but overall we did enough to get the win."

Before the 4th quarter the Rams offense was seen gathered in a huddle on the sidelines. When asked about this Mosure said,"I gathered the team together and told them that we can do this. They aren't better then us and that our defense was playing well but we (the offense) were letting the team down. We then came out and played a solid quarter of football to take the win."

Football Analysts are calling this the comeback of the week
