AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Colorado State outperformed Air Force in all areas of the game today in a convincing 29-7 win.

"We really didn't work that much on their passing game and focused more on their run game," Rams linebacker Mychal Sisson said, "And we held them to only 29 yards rushing."

Air Force did have some success through the air with 219 passing yards but it was not enough to take home the Ram-Falcon Cup.

Rams runningback Raymond Carter rushed for 75 yards and also caught two touchdown passes out of the backfield to be named the player of the game. Carter mentioned,"when you have the secondary they do, you really need to focus on winning the trench fight which the O-line did for me today."

Pete Thomas (QB for CSU) threw for 142 yards and three TDs on 11-21 passing. Coach Gill said,"Thomas is going to have some ups and some downs this season, last week against TCU was a down, this week he was up. Our QB coach is working with him everyday after class to get his awareness up and clue into what the defense will be doing on each play."

AF led 7-0 after 1 quarter however, the Rams scored 29 unanswered points through the remainder of the game. "To be able to came onto their field and shut them out like we did today, feels great." said senior LB Alex Williams.

With the win Colorado State moves to 4-2 on the year while Air Force falls to the same record.

Coach Gill said after the game,"To have 4 wins at the halfway point of the season, feels great, only two more wins and we will be playing in a bowl game which would be a great turn around for this team, after last season."
