Posted on November 25, 2010 at 07:57 PM.
OXFORD, Ohio - Pete Thomas threw 2 touchdown passes as Colorado State (2-1) defeated Miami (Ohio)(0-3) 31-0 on Saturday.

The game was scoreless going into the 2nd quarter, until Thomas found FB Zac Pauga in the endzone on the first play of the quarter.

Thomas completed 11 of 17 passes for 184 yards without throwing an interception for the first time this year. He had scoring passes of 10 yds and 6yds both to Pauga.

HB Raymond Carter added a touchdown on the ground with 90 yards in 19 touches. Chris Nwoke also had a TD run of 2 yards.

Spohmore RE Broderick Sargent was applying pressure to Zac Dysert on every down he played and came away with two sacks.

Dysert was 12 of 16 for 108 yards while avoiding any interceptions.

Total offensive was in favour of the Rams by 367 to 128.

After the Game Pauga had this to say about the teams performance "Coach had us really well prepared. We knew we were pretty evenly matched but Coach Gill put together a great gameplan and we all stuck to it."

Coach Gill commented to reporter Erin Andrews after the game, "Our offensive played a very smart game today, with little to no mistakes, but take a look at the opponents score and you'll see that the defense was all over them. Dysert couldn't get anything going with the pressure we had on him all game. I'm very proud of the defensive players today, and if we can get the spectacular plays on offense like we did today on defense I will be a very happy man."
