Colorado State Hires New Coach
Fort Collin, Co - Fans and Media Gathered for an announcement in regards to the Colorado State Football Program. The AD Officially announced that coach Steve Fairchild has stepped down following an 0-8 MWC record last season and has returned to the NFL as a QB coach for the Cleveland Browns.
Also announced was the name of the new coach, Drew Gill. Gill Comes from University of Ottawa in Canada where he was an offensive coordinator, he also has experience coaching at the highschool level in Canada with 2 provincial titles in 4 years as a head coach.
He gained notoriety after winning his second title before the age of 26. Colorado noticed him in the Vanier Cup with Ottawa where the offense was unstoppable.
"I'm still in shock that I'm a head coach in the NCAA before the age of 30. I draw inspiration from Brad Stevens and Butler Basketball making the national championship at such a young age for a head coach. I'm confident that I can infuse this system like that and that we will restore the tradition and Bring the MWC Championship back to Colorado State in the future."
