Penalty Sliders NCAA Football 14
Posted on July 31, 2013 at 09:30 PM.
Tried making this yesterday lol.. I am on a quest to try and shed some light on the mystery that is the slider in NCAA Football 14, specifically the penalty sliders. I believe that these do not actually control the penalties themselves, but does what all the other sliders do and controls TENDENCIES. You can raise the INT slider to 100 and see the defense become a ball-hawking, disciplined zone team, or lower it to 0 and watch them play sloppy man. Same thing with penalty sliders: raise INT GRD to 100 and the QB will hold on to it or check down, at 0 they will scramble more (although not as often as Manziel, although to be honest I have never seen a qb abandon a pass after two seconds and still do the things that he does lol). So, I am doing testing to see. I was doing some brief stuff with RTP last night, because I know that one will lead to increased penalties, but if it follows this train of thought then it would also lead to increased defensive aggressiveness and a disregard for player safety, so possibly a rise in aggressiveness as a whole? It's a thought, I will update when I find something.

And just so we can all try and be on the same page, RTK does for sure lead to defensive aggressiveness in regards to tackling angles. I had LBs bull rush through the line as soon as the ball was snapped and make a tackle on HB, they also seem to have a faster reaction time if they miss a tackle; on a triple option from flexbone, the pitch man ran by me and immediately looped around and dove towards me, which was very awesome to see.

I had a decent game with Stanford vs OK St, which ended with Stanfod winning 28-27. From that one game, I lowered OPI and DPI to 1, facemasking to 54, holding/ offsides/ false start at 50 ( I couldn't see a difference at 100, and logic would imply that at the same levels they would still be the same), RTK at 0, RTP at 54, and INT GRD at 30. I used that with Oregon vs Old Dominion, Oregon won by 50+; the yardage was still a little high, because most of it didn't come in garbage time, but rather competitiveness during the game. The CPU and HUM are too accurate at 50 sliders, so I put at 10 to try out. I think that it works in conjunction with them throwing deep and taking chances, but 17-20 is too accurate against better Ds. I think that is most people's issue with the game now. Speed threshold at 15 on Normal gives extremely realistic speed, IMO.
