Let's what the "monumental change" is all about...

Why do the players still seem to just float on the ground?

New Info is impressive. I only hope they also looked at the D-Line & O-Line interactions.

Why don't I believe these announcements as much as I probably should? Maybe because it has been like that pretty much every year since the game was available for next-gen consoles back in 2005? EA has always been unbeatable when it's about promoting their game called "Madden". But they've been not so convincing when gamers eventually saw the first gameplay scenes noticing just little changes here and there, let alone playing the game after purchasing a copy of their latest product.

If somebody might get the feeling I'm just here bashing EA: Wrong! If I was about to bash EA, I would need just a few insulting words to describe my feelings about "Madden" or EA. I'm not upset, but rather disappointed. Very, very, very disappointed. In fact I am so disappointed that my last copy of "Madden" is the first game they released for the back then brand-new XBox 360, "Madden NFL 06". Therefore my expectations for this year's version are comparatively low.

I still can't believe how little has been done to create a true NFL simulation that is worthy of being called that. I understand that fans, including me, have always been criticizing the level of presentation and that EA eventually reacted to improve things in that area. But it seems that the game itself, the game of football, has been pretty much untouched since that. Dozens of gameplay videos on YouTube and a couple of games that I've played against buddies of mine who kept buying "Madden" over the years make me say that without doubting my opinion about this game. Quirky, robotic running/walking animations, a still very irrational and mysterious tackling, unrealistic behavior of offensive/defensive linemen/linebackers are the most annoying, negative aspects that make "Madden NFL 06" my last copy of this franchise up to this day.

Until I don't see any groundbreaking changes in gameplay, it's just going to be a game to me that yet millions of people keep playing, simply because there hasn't been another comparable game on the market yet. As long as EA continues to ignore people like me who have been demanding changes like the ones above-mentioned for years, "Madden" won't ever become the game that the NFL actually deserves. Namely a much better game.
