im still playing this 4 years later.. that should say it all! unbelievable that this has things that stand the test of the last few years and still do it better than the only game in town now.

The sim engine in this game was spot on. Could really play it as a stat sim but for $30 you want gameplay! This was a strange game gameplay wise and the lack of polish and even support apexed when 2K released a patch on 360 but not on PS3. The series was never to be made again. Surprised?

Post patch on the 360, the game plays solid. The PS3 version, minus the patch, is good, but the 360 patch shows how much better the game could be. Even with the lack of Presentation and Polish, the game is still a fun game of hockey.

Tremendous graphics, player models are spot on. Solid, deep dynasty. Presentation is fantastic as long as commentary is off. Lots of gameplay issues, no support (patch) for the PS3.

just rented it and I really feel NHL 10 kills 2k in this.

Solid cpu offensive ai, fantastic contextual collisions, and deep defensive controls make this game one of the most enjoyable hockey titles since NHL 2K5. Post-patch the game is as good as any 2k hockey title has ever been. Each game is unique and dynamic.

I am surprised I did not apply my editing prowess to this game before. With only one or two player attribute tweaks this game goes from utter animation disaster to one of the smoothest games i've ever seen... this is NBA 2k10 or should I say TOMBA 2K10 on ice!
