I am old. (20,000 posts thread?)

I actually don't know if this sort of thread is allowed anymore, but: I just noticed I crossed 20,000 posts.

I joined Operation Sports on August 21, 2002; literally twenty years ago now. I was fifteen years old at the time. I have seen a whole bunch of different people come and go, and my life has changed a whole lot since I was just some young pup in suburban Virginia looking for Madden and NFL 2K advice. I have met friends directly through this forum. I was given a job offer on the other side of the country in part due to my frequent participation on this forum. I arguably have stuck around this corner of the internet for way too long lol.

Here's to another 20,000? God forbid another twenty years hahaha?

I just wanna address a couple things here:

1)I'll arguably say ''no''. I enjoy coming to OS to get whatever insight I may find on whichever topic I may stumble upon from longtime members such as Hooe, among many others, that I have come to know I will usually walk away better for having read a meaningful post here and there. I think most guys may not even realise they make OS a better place by adding contributions they they don't even realise they're adding.

2) let's don't put a hard cap on it at 20,000, let's just say, instead of god forbid, god willing here's to an infinite amount of years and posts from Hooe.
and many many OS veterans like him also too as well

btw, I have a loong way to go to get to 20,000 as I'm still 200-300 shy of 10,000 lol

I'm slowly, inexoably plodding my way to 10,00. Being a hyper-introvert, I don't really post much outside of a few threads. Actually, I'd be there by now if certain admins hadn't decided to clean up some forums and perma-delete some threads.

no you are not old. I joined on Nov 22, 2004 and Im a decade older than you.

I dont post/comment as much as I used to, but still visit this site, Id say daily. Im no where near the number of posts that you have.

OS is still my favorite website. There are probably more than a dozen forums/websites that I used to visit frequently that have come and gone in that span of time.

Just noticed I'm nearing up on that too haha (20K). I think I initially joined OS when MM had shut down.

I'm working on my 20th year...wow. Was 16 and finishing up high school when I joined. I am old because I had to explain to someone on a Discord server what a message forum was lol.

Nowhere near the posts, but I think that was because I joined here first, then went over to MaddenMania for years before they went belly-up, and then ventured back over here.
