Strikeouts as a RTTS Hitter

I'm striking out at a ridiculous rate as a RTTS hitter at the MLB level. At the AA and AAA level I had a K% rate of between 10-15%. Now at the MLB level, I'm striking out at a 30% rate. I'm almost through the full first season with my RTTS player and it's not getting any better.

I'm using Armor & Sword's sliders at the Hall of Fame level, using Directional hitting. I don't use influencing with 2 strikes, but I'm still striking out too much. I've used two different Loadouts, and both are still having me strike out too much. Using the Anomaly loadout, I have contact ratings of 66/70 and vision of 69, but am striking out at a rate of close to 35%. With the Duke loadout, I'm striking out at a rate of about 25% despite 93/97 contact ratings and a 93 vision.

It seems like that any upper 1/3 of the strike zone pitch I cannot put the ball in play. I either foul it off or I swing and miss, despite good timing. I'm getting frustrated with how much I'm swinging and missing despite my ratings and timing. I shouldn't be striking out so much, right?

I haven't used Armor's sliders. But I do use directional. Are you contact swinging with 2 strikes? What is your chase rate like (look under "batter analysis, and it's chased/chased+balls). What are your attributes like? 30% is high, but there are major leaguers who strike out that much. Julio Rodriguez, for example, is at 30% after being at 18% in AA. Major League pitchers are much better than minor league ones.

I only use normal swinging. Where do you find batter analysis? I remember it being a pain to find in The Show 20, but I can't find it in this year's game.

I can't imagine my chase rate being too high, as I'm leading the league in walks. And if I were chasing or my timing was poor, then I would be fine with my K% rate. It's the pitches in the middle to upper part of the zone that I can't put in play, despite my good timing that's frustrating. I've been playing the Show off and on since 2008, and I've never had so many strikeouts for a RTTS player. When I play on Franchise, it seems like my K% is way lower, even for players with lower attributes. I'm struggling to get why that would be.

Batter Analysis is under "stats" during the in game pause menu. It's not available once you've left the post game menu.

What are your hotzones like? Are they "blue" at the top of the zone?

Versus LHP (left to right), my upper zones are red, none, and red. Versus RHP (left to right), my upper zones are blue, red, and red.

I've dropped down to All-Star from Hall of Fame, and that's helped in the K% rate (around 15% now). I've had to tone down the contact to make it a little more challenging. There just seems like there's something off when I try to hit upper zone pitches. I'm now in my second MLB season and I can't recall getting a hit on any upper level pitches. I'm now avoiding swinging at any unless there's 2 strikes.
