Can we talk about TV picture settings/preferences

So I’m a total mess when it comes to picture quality, I obsess over it being as perfect as possible in terms of Contrast/Sharpness/brightness etc……. I am on Series X and play on a Vizio P55……..

My question or interest in making this post is how do you guys handle picture settings, are there different tricks or tips u have as to getting the perfect picture quality? Am I alone in being OCD about the way the game looks? I’ll post my settings and a picture of how my game currently looks, I’d love input and opinions from other picture quality snobs lol

Get it professionally calibrated, otherwise you're just guessing.

Professionally calibrated? LOL
You don't have to do that... And please don't do that.
I didn't know that was even a thing.

Your settings and picture quality are perfect for that TV.

However, if you really want to step your game up and become a much better hitter. . . Save that money that you would've spent on a professional calibrator and invest in a monitor.

I use to be a terrible hitter until I finally listened to some of the other guys on here and bought a monitor. Now I'm not so terrible. Not great, but better than avg.

The crazy thing is... After 6 months of playing on the monitor, I went back to my TV for one game and was absolutely stunned at the difference.

Good luck.

1) regarding professional calibrate, I personally wouldn't recommend either, not everyone's eyesight is the same, so having an ''accurate'' image isn't necessarily gonna be good depending on personal preference. IMO you should adjust your tv to what looks best to you
I.E. "I don't know much about art but I know what I like"

2) I didn't want to spend money on a monitor when I have a perfectly good 75'' tv, since I don't play online, I just make sure I disconnect my Internet from my PlayStation before I start a game. that alone improved my hitting tenfold

You think the FPS is better with the internet off even in offline games?

I felt like my Internet was slowing something down. I know it definitely slows my roster editing tweaking down a bit when I'm Internet connected as opposed to not.
