What happens to created players after Roster update

As I wait for Seiya Suzuki to be added to the game I wonder how it will affect my current roster if I create or trade for players. Will these players be "wiped" over? Don't want to go to the trouble of playing with the roster if it is completely altered with an update.
Also curious how updates show up in the XBOX. In the PS4 there was always an indication of a game update but I don't see the same in the XBOX.

Thanks very much for any help, I appreciate it.

If you`re talking about a roster you're using for your franchise, then it will have no effect on your roster. So, if you have started a franchise (with a created Suzuki) and maybe this week there will be an SDS roster update with Suzuki in it, this doesn`t wipe over your created Suzuki or any other player in the rosters in your franchise. So players in the roster in your franchise will only change if you edit them by yourself.
Hope I got it right and this answers your question.

Thanks very much - that's a big help, I appreciate it. Waiting for the "official" Suzuki to be put in the game but signed Fergie Jenkins and traded for Kyle Schwarber so didn't want to lose those guys. Also created one player.
Thanks again

Just so your clear if they do update Suzuki to real player he wont be in your franchise. You would have to start a new franchise with the games updated rosters

Wait, did I get that wrong? If you have a CAP Suzuki and SDS brings out an "original" Suzuki, the CAP will get deleted/replaced in my own/downloaded rosters?

Yeah, that would suck - I've only been playing spring training in the franchise but it would be pretty lame to have to start all over. I also don't see any option to create a new franchise after creating the original one.

No it wont replace what is in your franchise. You will have the CAP. If you wanted to use the real Suzuki you would have to start a new franchise. Sorry I wasn't clearer
