Re: MLB The Show 22 Feature Premiere - Nintendo Switch (Discuss Here)

Some notes:

- All modes available
- 30FPS in the latest build
- 20GB game size
- Link your accounts on TheShow.com to share progress between platforms
- Does not use motion controls on joycons
- No stadium creator (as expected)

Fairly quick and informative, and they addressed the performance concerns right away.

Looks like I'm good to preorder!

Re: MLB The Show 22 Feature Premiere - Nintendo Switch (Discuss Here)

Gameplay seemed to be smoother in this feature premiere than it was in the tech test. Optimistic that they've made some tweaks since that build. Cutscenes (including the HR cam) definitely show choppiness, but that's to be expected.

It's no NBA2K, but 20 GB is a hefty chunk of the Switch's console memory.

Ah, so they did talk about it. I turned the stream on a bit late and didn't catch that part, but just heard it on the VoD. Good news.

They did also mention that the tech test for Switch was a two-week old build (which is why it was so rough with framerate and optimization), and that The Show 22 on Switch is a separate build from the other versions of The Show. With that said, this idea that was floating around about a Switch version holding back next gen can be put to rest.
