Goalies are to hard no matter the setting I use in Offline.

I have most sliders the way I want them but the goalies are impossible to score for human and when the AI tries against my AI goalie.

Most games I play are in superstar or Allstar with sliders adjusted accordingly.
However the average number of goals is 3 in total. (either a 1-0. 2-1 or 3-0 - rarely).

I have the shots for me at about 55 - 65 and score 1 goal and lose the game, or score 2 goals and either win in regulation or lose in overtime with the occasional win in overtime. I use both manual and aim assist with equal results.

The goalie settings are about 40-50 with with the screen effects at 70-80.

I just moved up the screen effects to 95 and guess what...same result..I had a 2-1 game.

I know that there are only 5 ways to score a goal this year. But after the patch that seems to be impossible.

The shots are about 25 - 30 a game for each team and the checking is fine. I can pass, I get breaks and can move the puck around, and the same for the AI team (that is all competitive)

But the goalies are over realistic in saving each shot no matter what setting I use.

In Pro mode, I score easily and tried to adjust the sliders accordingly, but I can almost play the whole game in the opposition end, and the AI can be easily beaten so that is not an answer.

Any help....
It really seems that after the last patch this has happened (unless it's my imagination) Is there anyway to go back to the original setting or one patch back.

(The last release I owned was NHL20 and that was great...I really am disappointed, because I want to play NHL in offline mode with Seattle in the league).

I'd suggest that you just keep at it. I'm actually a lot happier with the goaltenders than I've ever been. You actually need to get to the high percentage spots to score. Puck movement is key, and creating traffic helps.

When you think about it, if you're scoring twice on 25 or so shots, the goalies sv% is .920. League average is currently .909, which would be 22.7 saves on 25 shots, so essentially only 0.3 more goals per game.

Obviously that doesn't translate completely to the game, as the actual league average for shots per game is 31.3 right now.

Try adjusting your strategy, and open it up a bit. I found lowering the hit sliders was really helpful.

Here's the thing.
On superstar, I raised the shot accuracy to 80 and lowered all the goalie sliders to 20. The screen effect is at 75 for both.

No goals by me or AI. with 7 min periods This makes no sense.

I then tried this on Allstar....I scored a total of 2 goals...AI....0 goals.

I am playing this in the SHL and offline....

Try lowering the CPU goalie reaction slider a bit. Goalies are way too perfect in this game on all shots that aren't the "glitch" shots imo. Not enough rebounds, not enough unclean saves, not enough goal variety for me.

Re: Goalies are to hard no matter the setting I use in Offline.

There's a happy medium just keep moving the reaction speed at 5 point and all the other goalie sliders for that matter. You'll find your happy Zone because there is a Breaking Point on all the goalie sliders and if you want to feel rewarded when scoring I wouldn't use aim assist as it seems like cheating but that's just me, good luck.

It doesn’t feel any less rewarding for me scoring goals with aim assist. It also doesn’t feel like cheating, in fact it’s just the opposite.
