SimWorld Presents: An Interactive Basketball Experience

What is up everyone? I am bigbob and I work with Ronyell and the SimWorld team. SimWorld has been putting out projects for a long time working on various NBA 2k and WWE 2k projects, but never has Simworld had a project bigger than this!

We currently have an interactive basketball project that we have been working on for over a year and a half, and we have finally been able to launch our beta season as of January. A brief synopsis of our goals…

The Short Term Goal:
During our beta season we are strictly running with 32 head coaches at the high school level. This is to give the SimWorld team the ability to ensure that everything from a journalistic standpoint to a technical standpoint is running properly. We want the following seasons to run as smoothly as possible, and we cannot do that without the beta coaches. We are currently operating through Discord with Google as an aid; however, a SimWorld app is in the works once we can ensure a seamless integration.

The Long Term Goal:
Once running at full force, SimWorld will be running simultaneous NBA, college, and high school leagues that will be continuous and will include general managers, head coaches, and players.

Beyond:
SimWorld will not just be an interactive basketball experience. As we grow, other sports including but not limited to wrestling and football will also be introduced. Our goal is to create an unscripted, organic, totally immersive, interactive sports world!

Everything you know and expect from a SimWorld project in regard to detail, realism and long-term function… just bigger and more in-depth. This is not your typical ‘sim league’, this is a continuous, hands-free simulation experience! #SeeTheGameBeTheGame

Hands free simulation meaning no 5v5 games? I like the ambition and like to see something simulation that we can help be the premiere thing for 2K, but wondering what is the user experience in SimWorld?

Its not for physical "gaming" per se. Its more for what we love most... the story of the game and how it plays out over time. Think of a MyCareer mode where there is no physical game playing or 'cheese' where you get covered by a REAL media team ORGANICALLY and your story is intertwine with everyone else in the league (be it as a coach, a player, a GM or an owner... from high school all the way to your retirement or if you want to coach, GM or own; those are options too).

The user experience...is an actual progression of the ins & outs of a career in REAL time with SimWorld's simulation design & 2k's engine as the backdrop.

To further explain... The user's experience is the number one thing for us. Building relationships with other users, whether they be players, coaches, general managers, athletic directors & owners, or even the sports media team that is covering our SimWorld!

Sports in general would not be as big as it is without the backstory, the coverage and the potential fallout. When is Ben Simmons going to play? Why is Brian Scalabrine not in the Hall-of-Fame? What did LeBron eat for breakfast today? Where would we be if the important questions were not asked and answered? Why do we care about a Lebron James, a Kobe Bryant, a Jeremy Lin or an Alex Caruso? It’s because of who we know them to be. The collections of moments on AND off of the court. Will they overcome? Will they fall short? Will they thrive? Every athlete in the world is a complete novel unto themselves and our media team works to tell your story to the masses while making your user experience feel like a true journey through your athletic career.

Users will also evolve through various unspecified actions and benchmarks both tangible & intangible, from ability to public perception… all shaping the narrative of your career and your opportunities. Engagement will be key as your stories intertangle with other users and will be on display for all to see.

So it's along the lines of what SFL did with All-Pro 2k8 except for you guys project is 3x bigger with the three levels of play(high school, college, pro)?
