Making shots

First off I'm old. I've been playing basketball video games literally for 40 yrs and multiple variants of the 2k franchise in that time and been pretty decent/competitive. But I've never played a video game where it's so effing hard to knock down a jumper. I mean wtf 2k? And I'm only playing offline on Pro level so it's not like I'm playing some super high difficulty level, but unless I'm WIDE open I'm shooting a brick every single time. It's just not realistic at all. Never seen anything like this. It's no fun to play at all like to this. So what am I missing? And for tht most part my sliders are set at whatever the defaults are.

This is what 2k wants the game to play like. If you are somewhat contested (even if its very low) then you wont be able to knock down a shot. You need to be wide open every single time. And if you are you will shoot percentages where Steph Curry would give you his firstborn child if he was able to shoot like that in real life.

Re: Making shots

Shooting off the dribble is nearly impossible. Don't even try stepback jumpers

Re: Making shots

Lower jump shot contest strength sliders to 15-25 for both sides. Changes the game completely and is the only way to play.
