New shooting meter

I’m confuse are you suppose to fill the meter or let it go at the black im missing a lot of my shots here

Let it go before it fills up. There should be a visible mark on the meter.

You’re supposed to stop it at the black line to get that perfect green release. Anything after the line will be late, anything before, early.

I was having issues with the shot meter color yesterday as well.
White meter against a bright yellow shooting window...

You dudes are prol all on NG but we plebs also have a diff shot meter. MAN I am broke with it! If I just relax I can green, but when I try to look at the meter it's just like lol. I like how it seems like they made it so skill based tho, but I hate that the meter MESSES WITH MY HEAD. I'm thinking of turning it off and just learning the animations. If you learn the release of every animation, assuming you don't get blocked, you can green almost everything around the rim. With that in mind, I am going to try a true post scorer! And yeah, they should have at least given us options. It's just... it's hard to explain, but it really messes with my mind, that and I am not used to shooting FTs at all. I was a center down dude at like 85% online, now I'm making like 60% offline. I'm not even always getting 3 stars on FT shooting drill.
