Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (REMAKE)

Just got an email that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is getting a remake.

https://www.starwars.com/news/knight...epublic-remake

Sony are a partner on this so it looks like a PS5/PC only release for right now.

I hope they keep it like the original and leave everything storywise the same. I kinda want to see them get rid of the turn based combat.

Otherwise I AM HYPED!!!!!!!!

I am so over "remasters" of games from 5, 10 and 20 years ago. So, I am very excited to see "REMAKE" here.

I just hope that we see something truly new here in gameplay and story instead of a graphic and UI update from the 2003 game. Don't touch the overall story of Revan, but there could be improved combat, more side missions, more choices, etc..

I've never played it despite being a big Star Wars fan, so I may check it out. I also hope that the turn-based combat is replaced with something more hands-on.

I'm glad there remaking this because I never got to play it back when it came out..

Of course I had a ps1& ps2 but unfortunately I never knew about the game or heard of it until people started talking about how its likely the best star wars game ever developed..

So I'm glad I'll finally be checking this out.. better late then never I guess..

From my understanding everything including story will remain the same.. just now there bringing it up to ps5 level in graphics controls & more!

So excited for this, people have been saying it's going to be a timed exclusive which I can deal with but if not then I'll have to get it on PC if a black PS5 isn't released by that time, other than that i'll wait a bit to get it on Xbox

I actually never played the original but was always interested in it. Really interesting to see what how this turns out for PS5. I'm anticipating some cool usage of the DualSense.

Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (REMAKE)

Really excited to play this again. It's a fantastic game and I would urge anyone to play it if they haven't.

But if you haven't, don't be so hasty to not want the turn-based combat. It's not like a traditional FF game. And it really is something that is part of the core of the game that made it what it was. It's not really meant to be played by running at an enemy and hacking and slashing them with your lightsaber. There is a lot of strategy to it.

At least this is how I see it. I know people generally don't like it nowadays.
