Re: Head to head quitters

You have to take online play for what it is...Back in the early days of online play the player disconnect % was recorded so if you had a high % people knew you were a habitual quitter...This was frowned upon in most communities...Then we got to a point where people really didnt care about quitting and that became understandable because when your playing some clown who is going for it on 4th every series and not playing in a manner that is fun the best thing anyone can do is just quit and move on.

I don't care about a ranking...I play for relaxation and fun. I have 2-3 guys I normally run games with and we play realistically. I know that can be subjective but when I say "realistically" in my Madden world that means punting on 4th down, mixing up my defense and offense etc.

Honestly if I play a random online and he's acting a fool by going for 4th and 18 on the first drive its likely I may quit at anytime in the contest because I really value my time and the quality of game that I need to enjoy Madden. So, as I originally stated...don't sweat quitters...let them quit or you quit if the game isnt fun. For me I consider myself a simulation sports gamer...not a videogame player. I will quit on a clown in a minute and not think twice about it. This hobby should always be fun and stress free. Peace and enjoy the game.

DNF% was great...theres no one on this board that can convince me that getting rid of it was good for H2H. Let the habitual quitters matchmake with OTHER quitters...easy. If your DNF goes up because of the occasional disconnect or crash, thats fine...its not going to ruin your experience long term.

They could even hide it for all I care and do it on the back end, but the amount of time it takes to go back and try and find a game after 3 opponents quit in the 1st QTR isnt fun.

Well,if there is no chance for them to come back and win with not much time on the clock, what's the problem? To quote Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game" while at the same time,Madden is a video game. It's not real! It's only for fun.

If you cant handle being down, just concede. It ends the game immediately and you take a loss. The real problem is the people that rage quit 5 minutes into the game, and it happens way too consistently.

Like i said, DNF was a great solution to this....put the quitters in the same matchmaking pool...

Me personally, it would have to be one hell of a deficit for me to concede a h2h match. Ive come back from 4 scores down late, and have been beaten being up big. Some people should just stick to playing the cpu.

Re: Head to head quitters

I’ve only played a handful. All but two were running no huddle the entire time or running the same one or two plays and hot routing 8 times like it was Weekend League. No thanks.
