EA Sports PGA Tour 2022 - Analog Swing Wishes

I wanted to make a thread on this, just in case anyone at EA/Tiburon were to come across it (I know some of them are here from time to time)

May I humbly request that the analog swing now, at least optionally, require you to gauge and implement swing power and shot distance solely with the stick and swing itself?

I really don't like the aiming arrow thing in the TW and Rory games.

It is way way way too arcade like to be "picking a spot on the course with an arrow" and having that actually impact your swing power and shot distance.

We need to have a professional level with lots of challenge, where you are doing all the distance control with shot setup, club selection and swing execution.

That's golf!

Please have a mode that enables that.

Any tips or ideas related to the analog swing?

I think we mostly all were sort of "meh - no thx" to the Rory swing, so I was hoping we could have some productive input on that one component.

It's kind of already there with no zoom. The easy option is just to default all clubs to max distance with no way to adjust with the arrow. Arrow is for aim only, not to control intent of distance.

I would like to reemphasize that the tee game needs some variability (at least compared to TW14).

I can't believe how brain dead easy it is to hit perfectly straight shots in TW14. It really renders the game off the tee totally moot. No chance of missing where you're going really.

It's my one "major miss" in TW14. I basically just skip right to the end of every tee shot (which is basically always in the fairway where I aimed).

It doesn't take long watching real pro's play to realize how unbelievably unrealistic that is.
Especially Tiger himself! Sort of ironic given that his name graced the title.

I think that got better in Rory?
I honestly can't recall.

I’d say something close to TW14 for me personally, it had ‘feel’ to it. Hit it too hard on an low power shot? Over the green. I miss that aspect.

I could go with that.

If they can somehow make it not so easy to hit perfectly straight ..
I mostly loved the rest of it.

I do suspect they'll try something for "tempo" again.

I think there was some thought that the awful Rory bubble thing was doing that or something --- Glad to hear it's a fresh start.

My request is the same as every year, to take over the world and to put the TrueAim from TW11 into the game. There has never been a better aiming mechanic in a golf game, and it drives me crazy other games do not use it. It really sucked that they took it out for the next game, which was The Masters, which sold way better, but not because that mode wasn't in the game, it was the freaking Masters. But art that point, I figured it would never come back, and it hasn't.

It lets you zoom and look at the whole landing area, but has no influence on aim. Once you get back to the tea, you are aiming like in real life, at a landmark. You choose a little to the left or right from the tee box.

It's how all the competitive online modes should be. I loved that I would look at the landing area, and try to game out where it would roll in a way that was different than when you had an aiming reticule to tell you where it was going.

This was better than just taking away the zoom. Because the information you gain from zooming is the same a pro would get from his caddy. distances to hills and such.

So yeah, that's what I want. TW11 is still my favorite version for only this reason.
