So I got called up to the majors and my jersey number changed so I figured that meant another player had it already but I went through the entire roster and no one else had it and it’s not a retired # either so no clue why I couldn’t keep it. It’s #24 for the Cardinals by the way. Has anyone else had this issue???

24 is retired by the Cards, Whitey Herzog.
