Want to Create Fictional Roster

Aiming to make my own fictional roster, since Franchise mode will be virtually unplayable for a month or two while waiting for the Full Minors set to actually be complete.

I have run into a small snag though, since I've never actually created my own roster.

I cannot import player beyond a certain amount for some reason. I attempted to create a base template of all Joe Randoms, similar to how there was a roster template in the roster vault in MLB 20. Once I got to around 15 or so Joe Randoms, I realized that importing wasn't working any further, and that the old player was still on the roster.

Just how am I supposed to go about creating an entirely fictional roster?

Re: Want to Create Fictional Roster

So I uhhh...I know a bit about creating fictional rosters.

Best way is to edit existing players instead of using the "CREATE PLAYER" function within the game.

Are you saying to take an existing fictional player (that comes in the base roster), and turn him into Joe Random, then import him over and over, instead of creating a new player?

Just want to make sure I'm understanding the general concept.

Also, on this topic, is there a base/template roster available? I was looking to do the same thing and remove all players to start fresh on a fantasy roster.

Yes you must use an existing fictional player you can fully edit and use that.

You are only allowed so many created players so it's best to use a fictional cap.

Someone usually puts one on the vault but with the vault having issues right now you either have to wait or make one yourself.

That is insane. Even if I import a created character, it will insist that I can only have like 15 of them?

But I can edit the same player, and reimport that one like 500 times and the game is like "makes sense to me"?

I will never understand how SDS works.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

No ETA, since I work 50 hours a week between two jobs, and have a lot of obligations (not to mention that I'm essentially a rookie roster maker), but I do plan on a fictional roster at some point in the future.
