MLB The Show 21 - College Roster Project underway

Hello again OS baseball fans. Last year I brought to you a 30 team college baseball roster to use in franchise mode. The rosters were a much larger success than I even imagined. The college rosters spent a long time as the third most download, and third highest rated in the vault (behind OS's own Bacon's Fictional rosters, and the full minors rosters). So, here we are again, preparing for The Show 21's version of the rosters. With the possible addition of other consoles to this year's game, I'm hoping this roster takes off even more.

For those unfamiliar with last year's rosters, I'll give a brief run down. There were 30 teams rosters created, with correct names, heights, weights, positions, and adjusted ratings. Logos were also provided for each team. Every college player, and real MLB player had edited contracts, to make playing multiple seasons of franchise very easy, without running into any issues. Having the base set already created will allow me to do even more with this year's set. I plan on adding correct home states of each player (I would get annoyed playing and it tell me everybody was from the Dominican republic), as well as some other upgrades to player images.

Since we were given the ability to transfer files from The Show 20 over into The Show 21, once it's released, it will allow me to get a head start. My plans are to have this roster 100% complete on the day the game releases.

Bit of an update, and explanation of the process.

The process:

So, firstly all the players are placed into a spreadsheet, with correct name, height, weight, hometown, and all other info available.

Next the players are created in game.

Next ratings are adjusted.

Finally 40 man rosters are adjusted.


Where I'm at now:

All of the 30 teams who have updated their 2021 season rosters have been input into the spreadsheet (probably 20 of the 30 were updated).

Players are created in game for 4 teams so far. I will attempt to be 100% completed before with these first two steps before the college baseball season starts.

The ratings won't be completed until there is a big enough sample size of the season to gather the numbers.

If I can complete the first two steps by the time the college baseball season starts I am thinking that I'll have these rosters complete by release date.

Hopefully we get some good news of uniforms being shareable with this year's game. If that happens, all uniforms for all 30 teams will also be included in this set.

Is there any update to this? I am really looking forward to playing as the #1 Razorbacks in the new game! Appreciate the hard work you put into these rosters.

Same, just with Tennessee.. Especially after that insane series I just watched. We're truly probably 1a and 1b in the country.

Would Love to ECU get added in at some point, as well, considering they’ve consistently been ranked in the top 20 over the past several years. Regardless, I greatly appreciate all of the hard work you put into making these rosters!
