How are y'all stacking up VC?

The struggle is real. Currently playing My Career and average around 1300VC a game. About 30 games in, sitting on 71 overall and still have a long *** way to go still. I need about another 70k VC if I want to hit a measly 80ovr which is another 53 games or so.

Is there some better way, faster way to get VC?

I'm probably going to start MyCareer today. It sucks how they just stripped down the MyNBA2k app to where it is 2 different apps where the MyNBA2k21 is just for facescans(which are mostly terrible) and the Super Card app does the card games. You can't get VC from the app like you use to. Even since the lowered the amount of VC you could get from app since MyNBA2k17, it still stacks up over time. Even going by last year where you could get 500VC a day by doing daily login bonus and quick game. If I had my PS4 and was able to use the app daily since September to now, I would have had stacked up over 62000 VC. That would have gotten me to 75+OVR. Just wish they would relax on the starting at 60 OVR just to entice people to buy VC to be competitive in Online right away. If that's the case, separate offline and online in MyCareer.

Definitely want to know good ways to stack up VC because I have no desire to buy VC

There is no real way to be honest. Some years back I acquired lots of VC just by playing in our online league. They loudly proclaimed that "VC can be get by just playing this game, regardless of mode". Yeah, now see where we got today. Is there even any other mode besides MyPlayer where you get VC?

No real way to do it faster although you get some extra VC from endorsements. If you can perform ok on HoF, you get more VC from playing that. Lowering the quarters to 5 minutes makes the games go faster as well. You can also sim to the end of the game once you’re up by 25 in the second half.

The one thing I would recommend is to sim to the playoffs after you’ve played 35 games (actually PLAYED them). One, you’ll get the gym rat badge and secondly you’ll get a better contract to get more VC in your second season.

Good idea, but I think the Playoffs are gonna be tough for me since I'm a 71over and 2K loves to nerf my team mates Lebron and AD.

BTW, how much more can you get on your next contract? I played through story so I'm getting 750 VC now.

I typically don't sim until I get close to 90 OVR. I never tried to grind to 99 OVR, I just always want the 90 OVR award. Unlocking ability to suggest trades, signings, lineups, and playcalls always makes the mode more enjoyable

The bigger contract does help, my issue is that I like to play 12 minutes quarters because I want realistic stats. So it takes me awhile to get to point to sim games

If your intentions are to take your player online, i would Just pay the bread bro. Sad but thats what its come too. If not, i guess you’ll be a 90 by next season.
