Going back to this Gridiron Notes blog, the dev team promised even more live playbook content this year with "Live Playbooks 2.0".

It's now 2021... has there been a single playbooks update this year?

Clint says the live playbooks have been updated but have done a poor job communicating that with players.

If they have updated them, they didn't bother for every team. Falcons have been running various 3x1 sets and stack formations out of gun yet it's still the same spread stuff from Koetter's Tampa playbook from a few years back.

And defensively they've been running odd fronts out of nickel and Dollar all year, yet dollar was removed from their book from Madden 20.

Good to know that live playbooks updates are still happening. I had just assumed COVID had killed the content support for this feature. Hopefully communication improves going forward.

This is what I felt too, and I still feel like it contributed to them reducing the scope of how much content ended up being added on this front.
