NBA2K21 New Xbox Series Roster Question

Just received my new Xbox series s console this afternoon and it took 6.5 hours to download the 2K21 for new gen and just looked through it quickly and hopefully someone knows the answer, but why are the rosters not current? I still have my Xbox One and glanced through the roster set and I have to say I'm blown away at the accuracy not just to the teams rosters as of this date but also the coaching staff. Great job 2K, but why hasn't new gen been updated? If it has can someone please give me the steps in how to get them. Thanks.

must be a issue with 2k or something I had my new xbox since day one the rosters are updated. my son got the Ps5 for Christmas same issue as you super old roster.
