How do you block body knees against the cage?

When my opponent has me against the cage how do I block knees to the body? I'm hold low block L2+R2 but still get hit. Eventually I can work my way out. Just wondering what if there's a way to block them. Thanks in advance.

You can't block them. Instead, you hold left stick towards the direction where your opponent has an underhook. You'll see your fighter wrap their hand around the opponent's arm. If the opponent throws a knee when you do this, you will escape the clinch. This also prevents them from taking your back.

Because it would be too easy to mix-up high and low knees. Also, it would make it more difficult to escape the clinch.

Is there a way to keep your opponent pressed against the cage in the clinch? I find that when I'm playing the CPU they automatically turn out of it so I can't even gauge what direction its moving against the cage to block its movement.

It should be more difficult to escape the clinch against the fence

It should be done carefully though. Currently you can only escape via the knee block or moving away (and blocking a TD I guess) and removing one of the two options with no additional changes would make the clinch gameplay worse.
