Devs can you please add a timeout penalty for disconnecting online?

Similar to games like SF or even For Honor. I’m so sick of people dashboarding the minute I hit a TD in OWC. That’s the real hindrance to using fighters who are more grapple based. There needs to be harsher penalties for this. I suggest a 24 hour ban on the player for this behavior. This will force players to adjust and IDK maybe learn the intricacies of the ground game?

Don't you already get the win and they a DNF loss? I got 4 wins in a row after 4 Rousey armbar ragequits

What if their internet goes out or their power goes out? Or if they have an emergency and have to quit? Not everyone who disconnects does it intentionally... although most do quit because they are getting their butt kicked.

I think repeat rage quitters should be penalized more than a loss. Like after 5 disconnections you get banned from online play for 24 hrs or something like that & then the count starts over again.

I would be fine with this. Have it start small and progress from there.

24 hours for a disconnect is too harsh. Maybe after a trend or repeated disconnects.

FYI I have never quit a ranked match. I only quit 1 Quick Match in ufc 4 and it was because I had to leave.

But if for some odd reason my internet dropped and I couldn’t play for 24 hours I’d be heated

It’s not harsh. Street fighter does it for repeat offenders.

We definitely need a system in place to combat poor sportsmanship.


Counter-Strike does it well;

• First cooldown (level 1) - lasts 30 minutes
• Second cooldown (level 2) - lasts 2 hours
• Third cooldown (level 3) - lasts 24 hours
• Fourth cooldown (level 4) - lasts 1 week

Something very much like this, should be implemented into ranked. It's dramatically worse in quick fight. We need punishments for online as a whole.


Perhaps to make it suit the UFC series we could have it like;

• First offense (level 0) - DNF, Loss.
• First cooldown (level 1) - lasts 30 minutes
• Second cooldown (level 2) - lasts 2 hours
• Third cooldown (level 3) - lasts 24 hours
• Fourth cooldown (level 4) - lasts 1 week

Something needs to be done, because it makes the online portion annoying. If you don't have time, don't go online. I can't even play ranked yet because I still get the purple screen bug and quick fight is a nuisance for rage quitters.
