New Takedowns & Clinch system ?

Hello everybody !

I quite satisfated by the beta, and the new directions take by the developpers.

Animations looks more "natural"
Power strikes system is fine
Body shots have less lag
Etc...

There are a lot of points that cause me problems, and for me the main one is Takedowns and Clinch new system :

There are such conflicts for me, to use same command to do a takedows and straight punch to body, and same for clinch (R1 = square). Even if it's a manner of timing (button high pressing) or distance.

I think it looks like, too random or not intuitive.

I suggest to change the buttons mapping, for example like this :

Takedowns :

Single leg : R2 + L2 + cross (cross : because you attack lower body)

Double leg : R2 + L2 + circle (")

Clinch :

Collar tie : R2 + L2 + square (square : because you attack upper body)

Underhook : R2 + L2 + triangle (")

Extra moves (Muay thai clinch / Greco roman / Signature moves), can use this :

R2 + L2 + square + cross
R2 + L2 + triangle + circle

What do you think of my ideas ?

(Notice : english is not my mother language, and I'm not an expert of Wrestling I can be wrong about some things. I'm open to discussion and criticism).

R2+L2 is TD deny.
Where to go with that?
L1+L2? Would be kind of solution or L2+R1?

You have

1) Body shot

2) Body feint

3) Takedown


All mapped to the same button, how do we address this?

The feint is a button input after a strike.
The TD is hold square/triangle.
The strike is a fast quick input.
The fast input should be performed like in UFC3 so the combo comes faster.

Salut lahonda !

L2 + R2 is to deny takedowns, that why i suggest,

L2 + R2 + a button to do a takedown.

Example : L2 + R2 + cross = single leg

No conflicts between two mapping.

for me buffering (mostly online), can "bug". Sometimes, the game not really detect if you press briefly or little big longer. It cause somes involuntarily takedowns.

It can be a manner of train, but, I think the system must be clearing "slick"/smoother.

Sure „no“ conflict but then you would do a kind of every time before a td deny or low block?

Yeah ans thats what im talking about then offline is it smooth but oline we have to fight rhe enemy aaaaand the latency. 😃
