Re: NBA 2K21 Releases on September 4, Purchase Mamba Forever Edition on Current Gen &

"This year, NBA 2K21 will offer two editions of the game on digital and physical formats – standard and a special Mamba Forever Edition. NBA 2K21*will be available for $59.99 on current-generation platforms; the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of NBA 2K21 will be available for $69.99.

NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition will be available for $99.99 for both current and next-generation platforms. It includes dual-access where purchasing Mamba Forever Edition on either current or next-generation platforms, provides a copy of the standard edition game on the other generation at no additional cost, within the same console generation. A full breakdown of pre-order details is available at*https://nba.2k.com/."

First publisher: Take Two to announced a price increase of $10 us dollars..so no smart delivery purchase once is going down with 2ksports...am not sure how I feel about this, but am sure they have the data showing ppls willingness to purchase or preorder legend editions...I feel this is a direct relation to ppls willingness to buy VC and thier spending habits..now they are testing how far you guys are willing to go

if u asked me this is just pure greed as they make millions off VC every year.... and am sorry to say I dont buy VC cause I dont play MyCareer, my Park, nor MyTeam, so therefore I have no need of VC, which am sure the forever edition will have as an incentive and bonus for the Kobe cover

but dont get me wrong I love kobe Bryant to death even as a spurs fan...but I buy digital and covers really dont do anything for me

is this the trend coming next gen as a SRP for games? my guess is it's up to how us 2k ballers respond to this..as it might just be the trend setting if this works out for next gen 2k selling like hot cakes still at that price

Wow....And why did I upgrade my PC to be able to play next gen 2k21? Thanks for nothing 2k. No Next-Gen, so I likely won't buy 2k21...

Biggest takeaway to me is the increase in price to $69.99 for the next-gen version of the game. Not a good sign as I'm quite sure that almost every other company is going to follow suit and charge that as well.

Never really considered that the price of games would go up in the next generation. Kind of annoying.

I only play MyLeague so the Mamba edition only interests me from an upgrade perspective. I want to get a PS5 but with that not due out until November I am likely to wait until the PS5 release and just buy the next gen version. I can probably wait since I don’t want to start my franchise until we have the draft, FA and updated rosters. The Mamba edition is $120C and I’m not paying that much.

$70 bucks was going to be the price anyway, saw a couple games leaked prices before and honestly it's pretty much inflation. What's kinda trash is that something that should be standard they are putting behind a "legend" edition pay wall. These days any money you can save the better and they're pretty much forcing you to get the legend edition or purchase the game twice.
