Is 20 worth getting?

Just looking for some thoughts from those that have played the game. I've played The Show every year from 09-18. I barely played 18 and didnt get 19 as I found my interest in baseball wasnt the same anymore and the games all felt basically the same. But quarantine has me wondering if I should try to get back into this years game. So I'm just curious what the thoughts of long-time players are. Is 20 worth getting? Or will it be a very similar experience to what I remember from 17/18. Thanks in advance.

Depends on what modes you play. Franchise mode FOR the most part is unchanged. there is a March to October mode that is cool for a quick season mode that can then lead into franchise. and obviously RTTS is still around for that career mode. and DD the Card Collecting mode.

if you are into Franchise mode don't waste your money and keep with 19 or 18 I didn't buy but I could try and doesn't deserve an update if you on online modes I guess is the only way to go

Really the only difference you would notice is some minor defensive upgrades and updated rosters. If your 50/50 I would just wait to see if they make any big improvements for next years version on PS5.

If you are DD online player I might hold off a bit. It's in a very fluid state right now with online play and if you are a really competitive player you will be very frustrated with it.

That being said if you are a baseball fan that can tolerate some warts it does play a very good game of baseball most of the time.
