PS4 or Switch?

This is going to be my first year ever getting or even playing SMB3. As a long time player of the show I'm looking forward to something different, but that also still has simulation aspects.

For all you that have played both versions do you prefer playing on the Switch, due to it's mobility? Or do you think PS4 is the way to go?

I don't really play my Switch much but if the gameplay isn't drastically different I think trying it on the Switch may bethe most, especially when I try to sneak in a game while working from home lol

Re: PS4 or Switch?

I’m assuming you don’t have a PC since you didn’t mention it, but if so, get it for that.

I can give input on the ps4 version, it played super smooth on the pro.

However since this game is fully cross platform, I would go with whatever you can get the most play in on.

Re: PS4 or Switch?

I just got a switch. Ive played the other two on ps4. But im going switch personally.
The show is for all its glory on a big tv. Smb makes sense on switch, but i dont know if there is a difference in terms of it being limited. I wouldnt think so its not a AAA title but who knows.

Also a thought sony was asking the public back in January if they had interest in playing ps4 games on switch like remote play style so i doubt theres any visual differences

Re: PS4 or Switch?

Haven't played it on my PS4 but did get SMB 2 on the Xbox when it was free for gold members. Got it later for my Switch and see no difference in performance between the two systems. Not a small test sample either as I have over 135 hours played on the Switch and most likely at least that many on the Xbox. Getting 3 for the Switch as I want to be able to transfer over my MLB teams, rosters with uniforms and updated attributes.

Appreciate it man, think I'm going to get it on the Switch. Very excited to try it out.

Have it for the Xbox and switch. Play it on the switch a heck of a lot more! I will be getting 3 for the switch.

Re: PS4 or Switch?

Switch plays fine. So does PS4. PC is the best version because of roster sharing etc though.

If they had a cross platform roster share, I'd always get it for Switch.

Re: PS4 or Switch?

SGO reported in their review that Switch is a consistent 60FPS.
