Editing RTTS Rosters

Is it me or is it insane that we don’t have the option to edit rosters in RTTS?

My player just won the MVP/Triple Crown and lost his jersey # when my team signed a player with a overall rating 1 point better than mine.

Why on earth can’t we edit the jersey numbers of players? That’s a huge oversight.

I've pointed this out year after year, it never gets fixed.

I wish they would listen. Seems like they are just being lazy honestly.

I used to "want" #21. After years of the number issues, I climbed the ladder and started using higher #'s. Did the new guy have more experience than you? Is he older? Both are valid reasons a player in RL might lose his #, so it begrudgingly makes sense in game.

While total control over #'s might be nice, i'd be happy with a prompt saying "player x is older/has more tenure, choose your new number {list of available #'s}.

It was Scott freaking Kingery lol

My player hit 60 home runs last season. He isn’t even in the same stratosphere as my guy.

Idk who that is, nor do I care. In real life, younger, less tenured players often cede their preferred number to a newly acquired player with more years of experience. I don't recall a time where a player came into a new org and told a younger player "you had great stats last season, keep the number I've been using my whole career". There may be cases similar but it's rare. Again, it's the reason I started using higher numbers. Far more rare that someone takes it.

It is tremendously frustrating. Especially considering we see our player's back frequently while fielding.

Re: Editing RTTS Rosters

My number is a big deal for me. Before starting my RTTS career I edit the rosters, from A to the MLB, so no one else on the teams I'm willing to play for has my number. There are only 6 teams that I'm interested in pursuing a career with so it doesn't take me long to edit them all out.
