One year ago this week NHL 19 was added to the EA Access vault.

Good article about why to play though!

James Cybulski and Ray Ferraro provide the worst play by play in the history of sports but I would say every sports fan should give the game a shot. Just make sure to jump into audio settings and turn off the commentary.

As a casual hockey fan, this game is great. If you're looking for something that is hockey but isn't solid on the technical details of hockey you won't be disappointed.

If you're a hardcore hockey guy but haven't played it in years you might get some enjoyment out of it with sliders. It does play a somewhat solid game.

If you've played this game the last 3 or so years, it hasn't made huge leaps and you will probably be a little tired of the gameplay.

Couple of buddies and I got this game together so we can relive our NHL 13 EASHL club. Needless to say we’ve been having an absolute blast. I don’t think I’d buy on pure simulation because of the loss in NBC package and total arcade commentary. I think it’s solid if you have buddies to play with

I thought they would put it in the EA Access vault immediately after the season was suspended.*

If anything suspending sports could drive more spending on stuff like this and they could hold off adding it to the vault.

Or adding more value now may entice people to subscribe. Really depends on the business objectives in the short term.

got it on sale too and glad i did......nhl threes is better than ever since you can play ANY team now and the alumni (all-time) teams are great as well. would have perfect if historic teams were included, but oh well. anyways, the commentary is a bit more pumped up and no NBC presentation is missed but not too much. still waiting for roster share to get added. gameplay is better than ever though.
