Possible to Play World Series Against My Son?

I'm new to the game, but is it possible to jump right into the World Series with my son? We would like to select our teams and jump into a 7 game series.

You didn't mention online or offline but for online they have custom leagues and for offline there is a playoff mode. You pick your teams for playoffs, then sim to the world series if you like and play Co op with your son. It only takes a couple minutes to setup.

I'm interested in Offline since we are both stuck home. He would like to play as the Oakland A and I would like to play as the Dodgers. If we sim to the World Series, how do we ensure those two teams make it to the World Series during the sim?

You’d have to manipulate. Put the worst teams in the other slots. So the A’s vs. Royals, then the Tigers vs Orioles. Make sure to save along the way and back out before saving when your team loses.

you can also set the LDS & LCS at a single game instead of best of 5 or best of 7, and still set the WS at best of 7

You used to be able to do this years ago but they took it out for some reason. It was called rivalry mode and you could just pick whatever 2 teams you wanted and play a series to see who would win it all.

Go under MINI MODES then last box in right called post season.

There you can put whatever teams you prefer and what teans u want to control or sim to WORLD SERIES bracket.

And both you and your son can play this if your both on same PS4.
