Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Having never played a game in this series, what is the point of it? Is it just a basic collecting game or is there more to it then just that?

Collecting, making your house the way you want (decorating etc..)
There seems to be even more in this version but I've been intentionally avoiding info to get full surprise when I play it.
I did see that the level of building and customization is a lot more this version.

There's bug collecting, Fossil finding, fishing (fishing tourneys ) etc..
It has a museum where all your items (if you donate) are at to be displayed..

You meet the other people in the town, make friends etc..

All the holidays (and birthdays) are in the game as it's based on system clock.

The game keeps going even if you aren't playing. So if you don't play for a week expect you town to be different (weeds etc..) when you get back.
I'm assuming that will be the same.

It's a great, fun time killer

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I wasn't planning on buying this immediately, but with everything going on and both my wife and I looking at working from home by the end of next week this should be a good "escape."

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

so i never played this game before. but like the previous poster mention with everything going on, i got free time now, i wanted to dip into something that i dont usually play. and wow this is very fun. im having a lot of fun so far. what i like the most about this is its real time. so i just going finish playing but i couldnt interact with the other people on my island because they were sleeping. def going to play this a lot. this is def going to keep me on my switch more. i was looking for a game to do that and i found it. caught my first fish. def happy i pick this up.
