Question: Online Play w/ Friend in 2019

Hi all, a quick question...
In “MLB The Show 2019” - *where* (IF it’s possible, as I would assume it is) in the game’s Menu interface is the option for playing online against a friend in what I’ll call “Play Now” (example, one of us wants to play as the Yankees, the other wants to play as the Red Sox) - in the past - this was always available to do (as well as picking an All-Star or AAA or AA team). Note - *not* meaning 2 sitting together playing on the same PS4 in split-screen... but playing online as described. My wife and I both are only seeing the option to ‘play a friend’ via using our respective Diamond Dynasty teams only. My wife and I have looked and looked, we can’t find the option anywhere other than playing our Diamond Dyansty teams against each other.

All u half to do is use the touch pad on top of controller there u will see invite friend to play, but go into a online rated gm first then backout he will need to do the same so u both appear online.
