The Many Ways You All Enjoy NCAA?

I know some of you play every game in your dynasty. Some of you sim the entire game. Some May sim just a quarter or half. What other ways you enjoy your dynasty? If I want to sim a game of cpu vs cpu, are my slider I use Okay for that? Any other cool ways to do dynasty?

Re: The Many Ways You All Enjoy NCAA?

I went back and looked up Notre Dame's rosters from 1987 until 2020 (which isn't as easy as you would think)

I worked out all 33 seasons of rosters with when ND would red shirt players, who would leave early etc and who got the most playing time worked it down to the 70 man roster for NCAA

I then created recruiting classes for each season. I would recruit players similar to the ones on the ND roster and just change their name. By doing this each season and cutting players who either transfer or leave early when they would in real life, I am able to have an accurate roster for all 33 season.

I made it to 2005 but am thinking about going back and starting over with different and more difficult sliders and recruiting less skilled (in game) players to keep my team from being too strong.

I would also add great players from those eras and adjust their teams to feed them the ball so my Heisman races would have players from those eras. Barry Sanders, Reggie Bush, Etc etc et

I also track all my players stats and keep a top 10 list in each statistical category, for example Michael Stonebreaker from the 87-90 Irish had 162 tackles his Senior year and 577 for a career, both records for tackles for me.

Rocket Ismael had a career avg of 20.5 yrds per catch a record for me, second best was Tim Brown at 14.1

Anyway, I may be a bit sick

Re: The Many Ways You All Enjoy NCAA?

Because NCAA is a sports game I don't have to worry about the story for, I'll often watch a series or a movie that doesn't require my undivided attention.

I'm really big into trying to recreate and teach myself offensive innovations from the real world. I've got a spread I playbook and a spread wing t playbook (both developed from the nutopia forums). I've got a Spread-I triple option from gun and one from gun and pistol. I've got a playbook that is all 21 and 20 personnel out of pistol, gun, and Ace (base bunch, f wing slot).

I've recently created spread-I air raid trying to combine what I've seen the past several years from Oklahoma, Ohio State, and a little bit of last year's USC.

For my dynasty whose file I just accidentally deleted, I created a spread playbook based around 12 personnel and QB running.

Right now I'm working on an offense which simulates what LSU looks and plays like in real life.

My own personal interests in the spirit/personality of how some offenses look and feel in real life versus what I'm best at playing have led to a lot of fun in the game. And a lot of overthinking. And a thread I'm trying to resurrect.

I’m semi-retired from the game, meaning I now primarily play in Coach Mode, Heisman.
