okay as you can tell I’m a huge newb. Amateur difficult is way too easy and semi pro is a bit too difficult. This is the first FIFA I’ve ever played and to be quite honest I don’t know a lot about the sport. I just find the game very fun. What do I need to do to either make amateur harder or semi pro easier. What I struggle with most on semi pro is I constantly miss the goal on my shots. On amateur I easily score 5-6 goals per game.

Why not just continue playing semi-pro as is. I don't want to sound like a jerk and just say "git gud" but that's kind of what you need to do just keep playing and it'll work it self out eventually.

To answer your question though reducing the user shot error slider would probably be a good place to start. Also since your new to the sport IRL shots on target usually range between 25-40% anyway so most of the time you'd be missing the goal depending on the team quality.

Single player FIFA is pretty easy, so I'd just stick it on the highest difficulty. You'll move up through the levels pretty quickly.

Once you start playing on Legendary or Ultimate - or wherever you settle at - that's when I'd worry about making slider changes because of issues with difficulty.

Start a career as a manager.


Before every game complete every training session.

Play every game.

When you notice the game turning into absolute beat downs increase difficulty level by one.

Repeat from complete every training session until you reach the highest level.

I lost or drew for 2 years straight from 2017-2019. 2019 I started doing the training sessions inside of career mode. I went from Amateur, to Semi Pro, to Professsional. I am on the brink of World Class but i've got a bit more work to do on through passing.
