Resigning QB’s to mega deals

Any advice on how to structure QB’s with huge contracts. Is it best to do as much signing bounus to lower cap hit? Any tips would be appreciated

I think a bigger bonus leads to a flatter year to year cap hit. I've noticed that with deals that have a lower bonus, cap hits can be $8 mil one year and $12 the next. But if you release or trade a player, the bonus turns into a cap penalty. So if you're sure that you're going to keep him for the duration of the deal, more bonus. If you think you'll cut or trade him a year or two into it, smaller bonus is better.
