Ready To Abandon FIFA....Questions

I only play offline in career mode on PS4 with Premier League teams. Can I get that experience in PES with these downloadable mods listed on the thread? Will it have the actual players or just the logos? Any other FIFA fans who have jumped ship have thoughts?

Sorry for the newbie questions, really never thought of leaving FIFA until this year.

Thanks. Not a terrible cost so I guess I'm leaning towards trying the world of PES. Just saw there are NASL kits?! Grew up with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers and that would be a thrill!

I just switched myself. The option file brings in the real kits, while most of the real players are already in the game as is.

Career mode is pretty different from FIFA, I'd say. The youth academy / transfer market experience is really a big change, but not in a bad way. Best of luck to you on your new adventure!

Thanks for the input. I am quickly being sold on PES.

Master league is a challenge. I suggest trying different levels in exhibition to see what plays best for you. Pro, top player, superstar. Then when you start a ML pick 1 level below that.

You will be missing out on the lovely EPL presentation (as well as some other leagues) but I suggest you use PES to try and experience other leagues like Serie A (Italy), Ligue 1 (France) and even the South American Leagues if you can. A lot of fun can be had but as long as you go in knowing the presentation is well below Fifa you will be fine.

I made the switch this year, having not played PES for probably a good 15 years. I second the PES Universe recommendation, their option file is great and they've also just released a classic file that has 20 teams that's really brilliant too (basically all-star teams of Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barca etc). The in-game menus aren't anywhere near as good at FIFA but I do feel like the gameplay really is much better. It's a lot less arcadey than FIFA, and more slow build, but I like that. It's more of a challenge than FIFA as well definitely.
