What should pete alonso’s power ratings really be?

ANd I’m not asking just as a mets fan. I dont think the current scea settings for him are accurate now that were seeing this guy crush balls like stanton. He just hit a 454ft at 118mph for his 6th home run already. Im thinking of putting them at 82 vs R and 85 v L... or do you guys think that is too generous?

I'm new to this so not the right guy to ask...But if Nimmo has a PvR of ~73, Alonzo is not a 62. Will probably move him to ~80 and then wait and see where the next SDS roster update puts him before adjusting again.

I increased Sony's power ratings for Alonso by +4 each. I don't think that did it justice though. I'll probably edit it some more soon. I certainly won't wait for Sony to update him that's for sure. Their roster team is awful.

Re: What should pete alonso’s power ratings really be?

Based soley on his 50+ major league plate appearances (small sample size), 99 PWR & 99 PWL

in the one test/sim season I did with Alonso at double 99 power, he hit 33 homers, with a .215 batting average. when you raise him to double 99's, his overall jumps to 83. when the season starts, his morale is fine with his minimumish contract but by season end he aint happy

EDIT: lol right now IRL he's on pace for 80+ homers

Woah, slow down tiger. Small sample size. I guarantee pitchers adjust to him and he slumps at some point t. Unless he has a Cody Berlinger type rookie year. I have been wrong before

Re: What should pete alonso’s power ratings really be?

His power rating is roughly what they gave Lindor this year, in the 60s. Had to bump Lindor up a bit but I say we wait until the all Star break to see where Alonso's numbers go. The pace he is on won't last all season, more than likely.

I am leaving it as is for now. Let the sample size grow and pitchers get out of their April adjustments.

What should pete alonso’s power ratings really be?

Here’s what I have from my carryover franchise mode, from one of the CAP’s, based on his power potential as a hitter. I’ll stick with TheDarkKnight’s ratings, from the Mets edits for now for franchise mode, and if Alonso is still racking up power numbers and hits consistently to the potential all star break, then I’ll use these power ratings. It’s still too early, in my opinion.IMG_5537.jpg
