BYU 14's "Old Guy" Legend/All-Star Quick Count Sliders for MLB The Show 19

Time again for my quick count sliders designed with the more “seasoned” gamer in mind, who like me, may not have the stick skills of yore. The version below is the final set as of 06/07/19

I am going with Legend pitching and All-Star hitting, with very specific tweaks to the CPU hitting to work in conjunction with a clean screen and vibration off for pitching. This piece (Vibration off) is very important as it makes you learn your pitchers by sight and will produce some bad pitches that the CPU will punish you for, without also hammering "Pitchers" pitches with the adjustments to CPU timing and solid hits.

As always it is about experience for me and these give me the in game experience I am looking for with quick counts. I have had a wide variety of games in test franchises using different teams (Padres, Yankees and Cubs)which I think is a good indicator of how they will work for different teams talent levels. Thanks for giving these a try if you play QC and as always feedback is welcome.

Final Set 6-7-19 Credit to Josh C for a great find for All-Star hitting. Moving CPU control to 6 makes you focus much more on getting the strike zone dialed in. Pitcher rarely miss badly and do a much better job of painting the corners. Human control on 6 also assists in hitting the corners on Legend and increases strikeouts to a realistic level.

Extensive testing has been done with the OSFM rosters and this should be the final version barring patch issues, so back to regular franchise and result posting.

What made you go to legend this year?

LOL, I'll go with Jays response. For me HOF was getting too easy I was consistently giving up 2-3 runs a game early in testing. Rather than pump up sliders in HOF too much I went up to Legend and found that with the timing and solid hit settings at 3 I saw more variety without having to tweak the sliders as much and it also seems that the pitchers talent matters more. Plus I get into more jams on Legend and it really enhances the game for me.

Last two games against the Tigers in my new Yankee franchise are good examples. Hit my spots with J.A Happ all game in a 7-3 win where I gave up 6 hits. Current game I have saved after 6 and trail the Tigers 6-5, they have 12 hits and knocked Sabathia out of the box after 4 2/3 as I was leaving too much over the plate.

I’ll have to try these out. But I been struggling on HOF. Hard to strike the AI out and I give up too many singles. Lol

Make an effort to pitch more balls....give the CPU a chance to swing at them, you've got 4 balls to work with they have 3 strikes for the same so use that.

Are you using QC or every pitch Bryan? If I get a 1-1, 1-2 count I always waste one and I have found going up and in with unfavorable counts helps too as the CPU seems to sit on middle out.

Actually this is the first year I’m not using the QC. I love the realism of the score bug with the pitch counts.
