Hey guys, long time player but have been waiting on this one.

I pretty much only play Franchise mode and maybe mix in a couple RTTS games here and there.

I can input my franchise from last year or start fresh, but what I am seeing is some problems with the contracts and other random annoyances. Would I be better off waiting a few weeks for that to be settled or is it blown out of proportion and I can just get it now?

What do you guys think?

Thanks a lot!

Depends what’s important to you.

I bought it but have only played it for about an hour total since it came out. Waiting for the bug fixes and patches that come out numerous times in the first two weeks as well as a decent roster set with full minors.

If you’re gonna get it just get it to play some gamers and get used to the game play of 2019 but I don’t think I’ll start a franchise for at least 2 weeks.

I was the same way and I honestly doubt I am ever gonna get it. I don't see them fixing some of the franchise bugs. At least not any time soon

What bugs? Game-breaking?

I'd say wait a little while. It's a near yes for the carry over, but the pitcher DHing bug is kind of a big deal.

Seeing no issues on the field though, the game is fantastic there, especially with the help of sliders.

My biggest concern, and the reason I am waiting to purchase, is with the budget issues. I am waiting until they patch all the issues that seem to be related to the real life contracts that they added last minute. One of which is that team budgets are increasing drastically (ie Rays 150 mil budget) after the first year.

If and when the free agency, arbitration, and budget issues are fixed I will pick up MLB 19. If not I will continue with MLB 18.

Something tells me that there will be a price drop in the next couple of months. I'd love to pick it up because it sounds like the hitting has improved a lot, but if it's just that, I'll hold off for a bit. Really in no rush to wait for a good roster and then still have the same budget issues as I've currently got in 18 right now.
