Song titles and artists.

I'm a little OCD when it comes to my menu music in The Show. I have to have it say (correctly) the artist and the title of the song when it pops up. This year, however, I cannot figure out how to get the artist name to show up. It always shows up as, "unknown." I usually use Audacity to edit music and I am currently using it to plug in my files. I'm taking the file from YouTube, turning it into an mp3, then putting it onto Audacity and plugging it into the game. On Audacity it allows you to enter song title, artist, album, year, genre, etc. But even when I do this correctly the artist (in the game) always shows up as, "unknown."

Make sure the Tag type is "ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3)

I have found if it is anything else, then it doesn't honor the tag properly.

If it is of this type, then all fields are honored, and display properly in game

Where is this tag located and how do I make sure it’s the proper type.

I use https://www.mp3tag.de/en/

when you open the directory of your audio files, you will see the tag type. If it has "..APE..." in it, you will have to right click, remove tag, and then set the values yourself.

Re: Song titles and artists.

I'm having the same issue as all of my imported songs' artists and album information displays as "unknown". Made sure the Tag type was "ID3v2.3" for all of the files as well and still experiencing the problem. Very strange as I am using the same process that I have used the last few years to import all of my music (Convert YouTube videos to MP3).

Re: Song titles and artists.

From my experience, uploading three music files at a time will show both the artist and song title. Uploading more than three at a time may cause for the artist name to be displayed as "Unknown".
