Loan talks falling through with Youth Academy grads

Anyone else having this problem? I have a high-potential youth academy prospect that I signed full-time. The transfer window was around the corner so I decided to loan list him. Around eight clubs approached to loan him and each one fell through.

What's going on here? Is there a mechanic in place that prevents youth academy graduates from being loaned out? Eight clubs falling through feels a bit broken.

You have to remove him from loan list and add him to transfer list after you receive a loan offer. It doesn’t work every time but it’s damn close. I have like 20 guys out on loan each year as a result

That didn't work. Are you sure of this technique? All of my other loans went through, only this one youth academy graduate that's fallen through over 10 times now. Clearly a bug.

Try this:

1) Decide who you want to loan out and add them to the loan list.
2) When a loan offer arrives that you want to take, accept it.
3) Right after you accept the loan offer, go and take the player off of the loan list and add him to transfer list.

This has worked for me for every loan. But you have to accept the loan first, then take the player off the loan list and add to transfer list.

So far it's been 100% successful for me.

I've had this behavior as well with the young players. It's kind of annoying. What I'm curious about is, how the hell did you guys end up figuring that method to resolve this? It's not something I'd consider as "oh it's common sense, just accept, remove from loan add to transfer, that's how the rest of the world does it"

Yes this has been a HUGE problem for me as well. I am like the previous poster how are we supposed to know how to do this. I will try this method and see. Just crazy to me that loans can still be a big problem with this franchise.

It's not just the youth academy grads. The young guys, usually the ones with generic faces, already on the team are impossible to loan out or sell, too.

Has anyone else had a chance to test this? Would be great to know.

My issue is that even when I get a youth player loaned out to a club several divisions below me - they never play. I had a 70 OVR player who couldn’t get a start in football league 2 (division 4 effectively). Most of the guys in that division are high 50s to low 60s.
